About Pawsitively Furever Dog Rescue (Ontario, Canada)

Pawsitively Furever is a non-profit incorporated rescue and charitable organization.

We are 100% Foster bases, 100% Volunteer run & 100% Donation driven,

We work with the community & international rescue partners to help RESCUE, REHABILITATE & REHOME dogs in need to place them with their FUREVER families! Pawsitively Furever (PF) started by helping local dogs find suitable homes when their owners could no longer care for them! 17 dogs found their FUREVER families in 2023! In 2024, Pawsitively Furever partnered with 'Slice of Paradise PR Rescue' to bring dogs from Peurto Rico into Canada to find their FUREVER families.

An estimated 600,000 homeless, stray dogs line the streets & beaches in Puerto Rico, and unfortunately there are no government programs for mass sterilization (spay/neuter), pet registration and very little education on animal welfare in schools.

In 2024 we also partnered with an independent rescuer that helps stray & at-risk dogs from Texas into Canada. As of August 2024, it is estimated that Texas has over 1 MILLION stray dogs & cats. Every three seconds a dog or cat is euthanized in a Texas shelter. We also hooked up with 'Flights of Hope' and began to help rescue dogs from Northern communities! The dog-crisis is wide spread- we believe that if we have the ability to help, regardless of where they are from, we will!

We finished off 2024 rescuing 109 Dogs, whelping 6 litters of puppies & finding FUREVER families for over 80 dogs!

A Message from our Executive Director & Founder

This rescue started as a "Passion Project" and has quite literally transformed into an amazing network of enthusiastic volunteers, who all share the goal of changing the lives of all the dogs we can. I never imagined my little rehoming efforts would turn into this beautiful organization. I am blessed for all the like-minded community connections we've made and the many dog's lives we have the privilege of saving, touching and changing for the better.

THANK-YOU to all our followers, supporters, volunteers, adopters & fosters. IT TRULY TAKES A VILLAGE! From logistics & transport, organization of donations, working tirelessly to find potential adopters and screen them and plan events to raise money and awareness for rescues. Without the support of volunteers and the donations from the public, we would not be able to do what we do!

I would also like to thank our rescue partners from Puerto Rico, Texas and the Northern communities for the tireless work they do! They are quite literally the boots on the ground in some pretty awful cases and they continue to push through and help as many dogs as they can! I am absolutely astonished at what we were able to accomplish in 2024 and eager to see what 2025 will bring!
